Simplicity wins.
Use the least complicated solution that fully solves the problem.
Pontin SystemsAbout Pontin Systems
We look beneath the surface to understand how the business works, where friction exists, and what should change before technology is selected.
Purpose
Why Pontin Systems exists
Pontin Systems helps businesses find the operational problems that technology should solve—and then builds the right system to solve them.
That might mean replacing a website that no longer represents the business, giving customers a secure portal, connecting information that lives in separate systems, or building software around a process that off-the-shelf tools cannot support.
The deliverable is never the starting point. The work begins with the business: what people are trying to do, where time is being lost, what information is missing, and what needs to become easier.
Understand before building
A new website, a dashboard, or an application may be the right answer—but only after the surrounding workflow is understood.
We study how work moves through the organization: who touches it, where information changes hands, which steps are repeated, where decisions stall, and what customers or employees struggle to complete. That context keeps the solution focused and prevents unnecessary complexity.
Learn the business, the people, and the source of friction.
Define the smallest useful system and how it should fit the work.
Implement it clearly, securely, and with room to evolve.
Refine the system as the business changes and new needs appear.
Practical judgment
Technology should reduce friction, not introduce another system people have to fight.
Use the least complicated solution that fully solves the problem.
Favor systems that can be understood, maintained, and improved over time.
Do not deliver a feature while leaving the surrounding workflow broken.
Sometimes the right answer is custom software. Sometimes it is a simpler process.
Leadership
Pontin Systems is led by a practitioner who stays close to the problem, the design decisions, and the implementation. That continuity keeps the work clear and prevents important context from being lost between sales, strategy, and delivery teams.

Founder & technical lead
Founder, President & Chief Systems Architect
Chris leads Pontin Systems with a practical blend of systems thinking, technical depth, design judgment, and project leadership.
The standard
Every recommendation should create long-term value. We explain the business reason before the technical implementation, challenge assumptions when a simpler path exists, and build systems that remain understandable to the people who depend on them.
Start with the problem
Tell us what is slow, repetitive, disconnected, difficult to manage, or simply not working the way it should. We will help determine the right solution.
